We are saddened to announce that Keith, one of our longest-serving responders, is standing down from his CFR role.
Keith has been a pillar of the Amber group — volunteering thousands of hours a year responding to 999 calls and then spending his weekends fundraising for the group. His natural nurturing and caring nature lent itself to his role: taking new recruits under his wing, transferring knowledge at training sessions, and delivering CPR sessions in the community.
Keith has undoubtedly saved many lives and is well known by ambulance crews (for all the right reasons). We will miss Keith greatly and wish him all the best in his new ventures in life.
Keith volunteered over 10,000 hours as a Community First Responder.
Thanks to Shaun and Jordan from Tansley Car Boot, who have supported Amber Community First Responders for a number of years — today they made a donation of £1,000.
Massive thanks to Keith, who has his own Glastonbury moment every week by standing in a field collecting donations and demonstrating CPR and defibrillator use.
